The Eagle Ambassador program is an amazing opportunity for students with a desire to help others and promote the University of North Texas. We are looking for outgoing, friendly students with a genuine love for UNT who want to give campus tours, provide excellent customer service, recruit new students, and be positive role models. In addition to monetary compensation and scholarship opportunity, Eagle Ambassadors participate in special events with the Office of the President, Admissions and Advancement.
A perk of serving as an Eagle Ambassador is a $500 scholastic award per long semester and $250 per summer (if taking required credit hours), for a total of $1,250 per year. Eagle Ambassador must be enrolled in 12 hours minimum for undergraduate students and 9 hours minimum for graduate students during each regular long semester to be eligible for a scholarship; 6 hours during the summer are required for a summer scholarship (3 hours for graduate students). To be eligible for the summer term scholarship, EAs must work at least 25 hours / week for two of the three summer sections (Maymester, 5-week 1, 5-week 2) in addition to taking 6 credit hours.
$10.50/hour for a minimum of 15 hours per week of work. Wages can be subjected to an increase based on EA performance.
It is expected that participation in the Eagle Ambassador Program will be the primary source of employment. For example, while serving as an Eagle Ambassador, you cannot serve as an Orientation Leader or a Resident Assistant. Also, any outside employment must not conflict with Eagle Ambassador training sessions, scheduled events, or related obligations. An Eagle Ambassador is subject to termination if secondary employment interferes with their EA requirements.
