What's your favorite thing about UNT?

Learn more about Elaine ...

Favorite place to eat in Denton: Crooked Crust (my body cannot handle gluten but it's worth it), Zera's Coffee.

Favorite place to study: Between the rows of books in the Eagle Commons Library in Sycamore! The motion-sensored lights shut off every five minutes, making napping a dream.

Favorite place to shop in Denton: DIRT CHEAP (because I am) and SCRAP.

Favorite late night hangout: The downtown square!

Favorite UNT tradition: Homecoming parade downtown. I love seeing the Mean Green Denton community!

Favorite class you have taken so far: Honors Good Society. I loved having a small, discussion-based class where we could all share our values and ideologies in such a respectful environment.

What has surprised you the most about yourself since your arrival at UNT: How little I knew about myself and what I wanted. I'm so happy to say I've discovered so much about myself here and found so many friends who love me for who I am. :)

Where else did you apply for college: Texas A&M, Baylor University, Penn State, University of Pennsylvania, New York University.

What made you choose UNT over the others: UNT is one of four undergraduate programs in the nation accredited with the forensics certification program, so that narrowed the list down dramatically. I toured the campus and absolutely fell in love with the community here. It is such an accepting, diverse and passionate group of students and faculty, and Denton is easily the raddest city I know.
